ABOUT DUMONT WALKER
For nearly two decades, Dumont has worked as a communications professional, helping mission driven organizations uplift voices and bring communities together. Throughout his career, he has seen firsthand the power of words and embraces his responsibility to use them to educate, empower, and elevate.
Born in Virginia, Dumont was raised by his mother after the loss of his father, in a family that believed deeply in education, faith, and service to others. Those values shaped him early, and still guide him today.
He graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he became a standout rugby player. The sport took him around the world and forged the discipline, resilience, and toughness that define his leadership. After retiring from competition, Dumont moved into coaching, mentoring young men and women at the collegiate and professional levels.
As a husband and father, Dumont knows what’s at stake for working families. That’s why he’s running for House District 46 as a proud community advocate— for impactful economic solutions, defending civil rights, protecting reproductive freedom, and fighting for everyday Georgians to have the opportunity to thrive.
For Dumont, public service isn’t symbolic. It’s personal. And he’s ready to fight for a Georgia where opportunity isn’t reserved for the powerful — but available to all of us.
Dumont’s vision begins with a simple truth: every person deserves access to a quality education, affordable healthcare, and the opportunity to thrive in their community.
My number one priority under the Gold Dome is lowering costs, and raising wages. Families are working more and more while earning less and less. I’ll fight for impactful solutions to lower everyday costs, stop predatory HOA’s and land lords, break the hold private equity has on the real estate market, and help every family in District 46 thrive.
Regardless of your ZIP code, every Georgian deserves access to quality, affordable health care. Too many families are experiencing the pain of skyrocketing premiums. I’ll fight to lower insurance premiums by expanding Medicaid, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and ensure the system is accessible to all Georgians.
Our focus has to be on what really matters - improving literacy, fully funding our public schools, modernizing our school funding formula, and increasing pay for our teachers. I’ll fight to expand early learning programs for three and four-year-olds, helping ease the cost of childcare of working families.
